What We Do
With Clothing
PICKING IT UP
Clothes and other products that get donated by schools, clubs, organizations, etc. are picked up by our company after having planned a pick up date with us.
UNLOADING
Once we arrive at the warehouse the items that were loaded onto the truck at the pick up get unloaded into these big metal cages.
WEIGHING
The cages are prepared to put onto scales to calculate your total pounds collected.
WEIGHING SYSTEM
Once your items get weighed a paper is printed out with your total weight in the cage, ready to be sorted. These papers also include which organizations collection the items are from. The weight is also recorded in our computer system to aviod mistakes and confusion about total pounds collected from each participating organization.
ORGANIZATION
Cages are neatly lined up to get sorted and to prepare room for more cages.
SORTING
Our sorters have had many hours of training, the clothing gets sorted in an accurate and timely fashion.
ORGANIZATION INTO CATEGORIES
We process and sort through the different clothing into many different kinds of categories.
PACKAGING TOYS
At this time we only collect stuffed animals - NO HARD TOYS PLEASE. These toys are packed into containers for children who do not have much to play with in other parts of the world.
PACKAGING & SHIPPING
Clothing that is in wearable condition gets packaged into containers and is shipped to countries such as Ghana, Conakry, Guinea, Honduras, Haiti, Ecuador, Belize, Mexico, Chile, within the US, and also parts in Eastern Europe. None of the clothes gets shredded or destroyed!
SHIPPING CONTAINERS
These are two containers that are ready for the driver to pick up and take to the shipping port!
